Last year four women went to Tijuana, Mexico, on a WMU NC mission trip to serve with missionaries from North Carolina and other volunteers from Texas. This year, the missionaries are requesting help again. They are in urgent need of volunteers and supplies. The ministry has expanded from 10 sites to 17, and the number of volunteers confirmed to help is significantly less.
There are four ways YOU can help:
- GO! Especially if you are able to speak even a little Spanish, you are needed. The most important thing, though, is to have God's heart for the children and families and to be willing to share that with them, whether with words or actions. Smiles and hugs speak volumes! The missionaries speak English and Spanish and will help non-Spanish speakers be able to do what needs to be done. The exact dates will be available soon, but we know it will be at the end of July/beginning of August.
- GIVE! Supplies for the Bible schools are very much needed. Consider making a personal donation and/or asking your church, missions group or Sunday School class to contribute.
- PRAY! God is able to provide abundantly for this ministry. Please pray for people to go and the materials needed to be supplied.
- SEND! If you can't go, consider sending someone else or assisting them in covering the cost to go.
